Back from the Beach!

I've had such a looong week. :faint: Goodness, I don't know where to start though, so much has happened! :XD: Well, first off it takes about 6-7 hours to and from the beach to home, including pit stops.

The first night, July 4th, we ate at Grotto's Pizza, which is down along the boardwalk. Afterwards, we pretty much just ambled down the boardwalk to see if anything changed over the years. We stopped at Funland, which is basically a huge area for games and some rides. The only thing that changed there was they took the Jurassic Park 3 game I used to play there all the time out and in its place... they have Batman pinball. :XD: So I pretty much played pinball and skeeball for a while.

The fireworks went off around 9:15 pm. My grandparents and I were sitting diagonal to the fireworks up on the boardwalk, since they set them off down on the beach. I felt bad for the little girl beside us though. Every time one would go off, the blast would bounce off a building's windows and it'd scare her. But overall, the fireworks were very cool this year. :D

Since I don't tend to be a beach-beach person, or actually going down onto the beach, I tend to stay in the apartment during the day or walk around town. I ended up reading a lot last week, so oddly enough I never actually got to draw what I wanted to draw. I ended up drawing anything BUT requests and whatever else I was going to draw. :XD:

Throughout the week, since nothing much happened for me because I stayed in the apartment almost all the time, I walked through the town from time to time. I visited the Atlantic Bookstore and the Sea Shell Shop (talk about a tongue twister!). My new books are The Pilo Family Circus (anyone who loves Creature Feature or deranged clowns will like this book :D), The Black Dragon Codex, and Transformers: RoTF. I also found some comics they had at the bookstore and I didn't pass them up. :giggle: I got 4 Batman ones, a Bat-Thing one, and 2 Ghost Rider ones.

The fourth night mom actually forgot the key to the apartment. :XD: We were able to get onto the porch, since the whole thing is screen on a frame and only a hook keeps it locked. My sister had to climb through a window just to get inside to unlock the door for us.

We never got to the outlets or the waterpark this year, but I was just happy enough to go this year. :D Pictures will be up later, since we have dial up and I'll be uploading them later. I have soo much stuff to catch up on. I've become a bit of a DA lurker now until I manage to catch up on all my devs. :XD:
